Programs for 2019

March 2019: 2018 was the 50th anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. This evening we wish the Act a belated happy birthday with the screening of “RUN WILD, RUN FREE: 50 years of wild and scenic rivers,” preceded by an introduction by our own CCA river advocate, Risa Shimoda. This beautiful production lives up to its title, and will leave you itching to go explore our crown jewels of rivers. Come join us and see.

April 2019 -Monday April 29, 2019

Goh Iromoto is a talented Canadian filmmaker who created “The Canoe,” an ethereal work of art that speaks for our love of paddling. We are honored to have his personal authorization to screen this. I have watched “The Canoe” multiple times, including at two national paddling film festivals, and want you to see it too. Hope you like it.

Call for future programs

We are always looking for new talent. We are always looking for ideas. If you take pictures or videos and would like to share them, do not be shy. It can be distant locales or you local favorites. If you have a talent to share, then teach us. If you want to share an alternate outdoor sport (like hiking, backpacking, caving) we would enjoy that too. The program chair would like to hear from you (, 301-585-4381). I eagerly await.
