Trip Reports

Trump Victory Paddle - GW Canal & Potomac,...
Alford Cooley
After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, 12 of us were ensconced in 8 boats - setting out from Violettes Lock towards 45's flagpole, bearing four lawyers and a web designer from our co-plaintiffs in the Potomac restriction lawsuit - Democracy Forward.  Each of these fine people, seated in the front of the borrowed canoes, proved themselves as competent on the water as they had been in the courtroom.  A lovely day on the water, untrammeled by any abrupt visit from the Coast Guard.  The CCAers were:  Barb, Tim. Wayne, Cotton, Glen Johnston, Risa, Bob ?, and Alf.  Many thanks to Calleva for the loan of two canoes.
