First, let me say that if you had time for only one CCA program ever, this is the one to tune in for. There is no more interesting river runner to be found, and he is ours for this evening. Richard Bangs has often been called the father of modern adventure travel since co-founding Sobek Expeditions (now MT Sobek) in 1973. He has spent over 50 years exploring the globe and led the first descents of dozens of exotic rivers, including the Yangtze, Zambezi, Bio Bio (Chile), and Omo (Ethiopia). Richard still loves to lead exciting “out there” adventures and is often found heading out on unique adventures like an Angola Expedition with MT Sobek in Summer 2021. Richard is an accomplished storyteller, (good enough for a PBS series “Richard Bangs’ Adventures with Purpose,” ) and has just published his latest book, “The Art of Living Dangerously.” And get this: He started his career paddling with CCA. So local boy makes it big. Do, absolutely, set aside this evening to join us.
As usual, this is a virtual show, so register now, while slots are available.
