Floating Clean-Up on Goose Creek
The Goose Creek Association will have a canoe flotilla and clean up on Saturday, October 2nd. We will meet at the river by Benton Bridge on Foxcroft Road (VA 826), (near the Goodstone Inn) at 8:30am. The River and Trail Outfitters will shuttle us to the launch location at the Middleburg Academy. We will float and clean up until we reach the Goodstone Inn field, where we will take out and have lunch. <br /><br />If you would like to join us, let me know and sign the waiver, (click Register Now, then click the “sign form” button) with the River and Trail Outfitters. If you bring your own canoe or kayak, the Outfitters will not shuttle them for you.<br /><br />Every participant MUST sign an on line waiver before the trip! Click on the Register Now button and follow the instructions.<br /><br />Please be sure to do the Pre-Trip COVID Guest Self-Check before you come.<br /><br />About 2.5 miles of stream to clean. Beautiful, rural scenery about 50 minutes west of the Beltway out US 50.<br /><br /> TRIP DETAILS<br /><br />Trip Name: MD Canoe/Kayak Novice Full Day<br /><br />Trip Date: 10/2/21<br /><br />Please arrive 30 minutes ahead of trip time<br /><br />Trip Time: 9:00AM<br /><br />The put-in location is St Louis Rd VA 611, a couple of miles W of Middleburg just N of US 50, and the take-out is Foxhall School Rd VA 826, just N of Middleburg.
