Thurs Paddle #2 - Cacapon
Tim Tilson will lead a trip to the Cacapon. This is a 9.3 mile trip with three class II—II+ rapids. The projected volume is 397 which is just above Canoe 0. The weather is predicted to be 80, partly sunny and a 40% chance of rain in the afternoon.
Please be sure to bring $3 per boat (exact change appreciated). This is for the local land owner who allows us to park and access the river on his property.
We will meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Wyndham Garden Hotel, 10800 Vandor Lane Manassas VA 20109. If traveling west bound on I-66 use Exit 47B and make an immediate right onto Vandor after leaving the freeway. Please be prompt as this is a longish drive. For those who wish to skip the rendez-vous, meet at 10:30 am at the Take Out. This where West Virginia Route 127 crosses the river.
Please let Tim know if you are coming via email at hmslydia@msn.com, or home phone of 703-273-9436. Cell phone tomorrow after 9:00 a.m. of 703 864-0802.
When:
Thursday, May 02, 2019, 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM
Where:
Manassas Meeting Point - Vandor Lane Cul-de-sac next to Wyndham Garden hotel.
