I just received the Edelrid Rescue knife. Its sheath is far more secure than the Bear Claw (takes some getting used to). I also tested the knife the same way we do in class. It cut through the rope in just one swipe, just like the Bear Claw. It has the same grip as the Bear Claw as well. It’s available and less expensive.
