C&O Canal from Carderock to Anglers & Widewater - 9:00am, Sun, 23 Aug - HOUR CHANGED

About this event

Not a drop of whitewater here; this is Level 14 of the Lower Canal. Meet at 9:00 am at Carderock Lot 4, dump boats, shuttle to Anglers, return to C and start. It has varied scenery and shade as you progress upstream from C to Anglers and then to Widewater and Lock 15. Short version to Anglers is under 1 hour on the water, longer versions are up to 3 hours in toto. Much of it is in the shade. while the temps these days start low at 7 AM and rise 20 degrees by 2 PM.
