Sunday Paddle - Cacapon

About this event

This trip has reached it's cap of 10 paddlers. If you'd like to be considered for the waitlist, please reach out to Pam (email below).

John Snitzer and Pam White will lead a trip on the Cacapon River on Sunday, June 22 meeting at Bloomery Bridge (WV 127) boat ramp (39.4032, -78.4177) at 10:30. Bring $5 for the access gratuity at the put in (private property) at Edwards Run, and bring a lunch.

This is a 9 mile, 3-hour class II-III paddle with three major ledges – Darby’s Nose, Chapel Rock and Caudy’s Castle, the last is a Class II+/III. Good boat control is necessary, along with flotation for your boat, a helmet for your noggin, and a PFD in case you swim.

Please RSVP to Pam White at white.pamela@gmail.com so she knows to expect you, and note that you want to be sure you're routing to the correct Bloomery Bridge (WV 127) and not the Bloomery Bridge on the Shenandoah River.
