Sunday Paddle - George Washintoon Canal
About this event
This week’s Sunday trip will again be the George Washington Canal a.k.a Violette’s Lock with a twist. The predicted Little Falls gage is 2.8’ which is getting scrapey. The morning weather forecast is a temperature in the mid 70s with 0% chance of rain and light winds. This is a class II- trip. PFDs are required for all. Helmets are required for kayakers using spray skirts and highly recommended for all others. Airbags are strongly encouraged for boats without other means of flotation. If you need safety equipment, please advise the trip coordinator.
Paddlers have their choice of doing this as a loop or via a shuttle.
