This is a short early paddle to beat the heat. It is approx 2 miles Bridge-to-Bridge (B2B) trip on the Shenandoah and Potomac at Harpers Ferry. Meetup is at the Harpers Ferry Adventure Center- HFAC (37410 Adventure Center Ln, Purcellville, VA 20132) parking lot ready to shuttle at 9:30 a.m this Thursday 6/26. The temperatures will be in mid 90 and water level at lower 3 ft (Millsville gage).

To use HFAD takeout, all participants must have filled out the Adventure Center's waiver form for this year; if you haven't filled out this year's form already, allow 10 extra minutes to do that in their office, or use this link to sign the waiver.

Good boat control is necessary. PFDs are required for all. Helmets are required for kayakers using spray skirts and highly recommended for all others. Airbags are strongly encouraged for boats without other means of flotation. Lastly, be prepared for the predicted temperature for that time of day and bring plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.
