We had a bit of rain this week but not enough to make anything runnable other than the Potomac so it's the George Washington Canal again on Sunday. We will meet at the Violette's Lock parking lot at 8:30 in order to run a loop trip with return via the C&O canal. The morning weather forecast is air temp in the mid-80s and sunny. The forecast river level is 2.7’ on the Little Falls gauge, low for this time of year, but an improvement over last week. ?

PFDs are required for all. Helmets are required for kayakers using spray skirts and highly recommended for all others. Airbags are strongly encouraged for boats without other means of flotation. If you need safety equipment, please advise the trip coordinator in advance.
