With the river predicted to be 5.6 on the Little Falls gauge, this week’s paddle on the Class II George Washington Canal will likely consist of washed out rapids and the discovery of new debris from this week’s storms, but for those who are game, the trip is on. We will cross the Potomac to navigate the islands on the VA side then re-cross the Potomac to return via the C&O Canal, with a possibility of some of the group attempting a main channel attain.
