All Aboard: New CCA Officers Step Up

In the CCA’s first online election, the four-person slate offered to the membership was, unsurprisingly, unanimously approved in early December. The 2021 officers are:  

• Chairman: David “Cotton” Cottingham, newly elected
• Secretary: Jen Sass, for a third term
• Treasurer: Jim Landsfield, for a third term
• Membership: Ginny DeSeau, for a sixth term.

Our thanks to our outgoing Chair, Barb Brown, who served three terms. She continues as Archivist, will be a trip coordinator, and will serve as Chair of the Safety Committee and as a member of the River Access Committee.

Voting was online because COVID made our annual membership meeting (and swap meet) impossible, as it has all meetings otherwise held in the Clara Barton Community Center. With 59 out of 246 members voting, the low turnout possibly resulted from members being unable or unwilling to sign on to the website.
