Winter Valentine's Social
About this event
This winter potluck social will feature a hike along the C&O Canal, so wear your hiking boots. After the hike, we will warm up in the clubhouse with food and hot beverages. This will be an out and back hike, starting and ending at Sycamore Island.
Valentine's Day will be the theme of the day, and we will have some decorations, and maybe some heart shaped cookies to go with our hot chocolate.
Walking across the Potomac at Sycamore Island
Please bring a dish to share with a serving of 6 to 8. CCA will provide hot beverages.
The channel between the mainland and Sycamore Island is no longer frozen. As long as the river stays below 5 feet on the Little Falls Gauge we should be able to take the ferry across to the island. If the river is too high, the party will move to Barbara Brown's house.
Please register so that we will be able to send you an email notice if the party has to relocate. We will also update this page with the new location and post a notice on Paddle Prattle.
