Sunday Paddle - GW Canal
This week we will again paddle the Class II George Washington Canal, crossing the Potomac to run the GW Canal and then re-crossing to return via the C&O Canal.

Depending on the size of the group, some may choose to run down or attain back up via the Seneca Breaks.

Please arrive by 9 am so we can all be on the water no later than 9:30 am. Address: Violette’s Lock parking lot, 13948 Violette’s Lock Rd, Poolesville MD. As always, please let this week's trip coordinator, Alan Gale at alan_gale@comcast.net, know if you plan to join. Cell phone 301-758-9096.

Weather and water forecast: Temperatures in the mid 60s to mid 70s, with 0% chance of precipitation and winds 5 mph from the southwest. Estimated water level around 3.1 ft on the Little Falls Gauge.

PFDs are required for all. Helmets are required for kayakers using spray skirts and highly recommended for all others. Airbags are strongly encouraged for boats without other means of flotation. If you need safety equipment, please advise the trip coordinator in advance.
