Sunday Paddle - Violettes Lock / GW Canal Loop - 3.2 ft

This Sunday's Paddle will once again begin at Violette's Lock to paddle the GW Canal for a loop trip. However, this time we'll start at 8:30 in the hopes that helps with the parking lot situation. Feel free to get there even before 8:30 to secure your parking spot. This is a class I-II paddle. Paddlers need to have the ability to control their boats in moving water. PFDs are required and helmets are strongly encouraged (especially for kayakers). If you need safety equipment, please let me know. Sunday's weather will be a high of 94 with a 10% chance of rain. It seems the Little Falls guage is predicted to be at 3.2 feet on Sunday. That will provide for a less boney run! However, with the storms we've had we will also need to be extra vigilant about any new wood that has shown up. Please email or text me at the contact information posted below to advise me you're planning to come so we can plan our group sizes.
/ / / / New folks to our trips, please read CCA's Covid Tips (on this Trips Tab under Trip Guidelines). Also American Whitewater's Safety Code in the CCA Handbook (not the annual Roster) pp. 18-25 - or on their website at https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/Wiki/safety:start?
