Trip Reports

THU PAD - Rappa-Fred @ 1,500 cfs, 18 Oct
Alford Cooley

Well, I don’t know if it is the approach of fall or the screwed up announcement, but we had only three intrepid paddlers for today:  Wayne, Jim Long and myself.

Level was around 1500 cfs and the weather was gorgeous.  Cerulean blue skies and a temp of low 60s.

Nothing major to report, but what trip would be complete without Jim Long taking home a piece of drift wood for his aquarium.  He had cached it along the river until a friendly OC boater happened to come along.  Guess who.

With no vegetation, I got a much better look at the Target Rock rapids.  With this much water it looked easier to do than otherwise. I may have to try sometime.
