We had seven kayakers on this trip, Wayne, Lisa, Natalie, Alan, Gus, Jim and Barb with good weather and low water levels (2.8) We also had three in canoes, Jack, Alan and Dan. This was Dan*s first descent of this run, but he managed it in a full sized canoe with no problems. This was the third run for Natalie and she did it well with a little help from Barb. At the crossover to the canal everyone helped each other with getting the boats up to the canal. There were no mishaps and I was impressed with the fact that ten people ranging in age from the mid-twenties to the mid-seventies could enjoy a sport together and help each other. I think that paddling is unique in this respect of all the sports that I have engaged in.
