Mike is an American Canoe Association (ACA) Coastal Kayak Instructor Trainer and an Open Canoe Instructor Trainer Educator (ITE), one of 22 in the Country. Additionally Mike is the "ACA Middle States Instruction Facilitator " for all ACA instruction and has recently been named to a seat on the ACA National Board. He teaches principally in the Mid-Atlantic, (Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C. West Virginia and Pennsylvania)

Maximum Whitewater Performance

Maximum Whitewater Performance features world class paddling gear by David Hearn including: lightweight custom composite boats, custom kayak and canoe paddles, plus Rapidstyle paddle jackets, float vests; Wild-Water helmets; Snapdragon sprayskirts; paddlebags; books, outfitting and repair materials. David Hearn offers individual and group coached sessions in racing or river play for canoe and kayak paddlers of all ages.  Located in Bethesda, Maryland.

Nantahala Outdoor Center

Nantahala Outdoor Center is the nation's largest outdoor recreation company. In 1938, mountain climbers Lloyd and Mary Anderson joined with 23 fellow Northwest climbers to found Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI). The group formed a consumer cooperative to supply themselves with high-quality ice axes and other climbing gear.
