Mike is an American Canoe Association (ACA) Coastal Kayak Instructor Trainer and an Open Canoe Instructor Trainer Educator (ITE), one of 22 in the Country. Additionally Mike is the "ACA Middle States Instruction Facilitator " for all ACA instruction and has recently been named to a seat on the ACA National Board. He teaches principally in the Mid-Atlantic, (Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C. West Virginia and Pennsylvania)

The Riversport paddling school offers the finest instruction in kayaking or canoeing as well as offering a riverside camp, canoe, raft, and kayak rentals, the "best stocked outdoor store on the Yough", X-C Skiing, and kids camps. Our kayak and canoe school is renowned for it's personal attention in a safe, fun-filled atmosphere. Our whitewater paddling school offers four kids camps each summer, and we are proud of our reputation as having a great kid's program. Riversport paddling school also offers sea kayaking in Chincoteague, Virginia. Riversport's whitewater paddling school instructors are all fully certified, and are eager to teach you to paddle.
